Field of operation: Utility power

The task:

Creation of an autonomous economic source of power supply for the boiler house’s own needs. Increasing the efficiency of the boiler room due to the production of additional heat at its own cogeneration station.

Type of cogeneration plants: FG WILSON PG1250B

Total electric power: 1250 kW

Total thermal power: 800 kW

Task solution:
The completed implementation of the cogeneration plant project consists of one FG WILSON model PG1250B gas-piston unit with a single electrical capacity of 1 MW with a 0.8 MW plant heat recovery system. The station works in parallel with the main network as a permanent source of power supply for the boiler house’s own needs. In the summer, the excess electrical power of the station is exported to the local electricity grid. Thermal power in the form of hot water is supplied to the common collector of the boiler room in compliance with the specified temperature regimes. The project was implemented in 2005.
