Placement of the generator set

If you have chosen an open-type diesel power plant, then such an installation must be placed only in a specially equipped room. This room must be of adequate dimensions to provide the necessary air circulation and clearance around the generator and engine to allow them to be serviced.

If it is necessary to place the unit outside the building, it must be placed in a protective cover and mounted on a sled or trailer. This installation method is useful if only temporary use of the unit outside the building is envisaged. When placed outdoors, the protective cover is usually “all-weather”. It is necessary to provide protection against water entering the generator compartment if it is exposed to rain with strong wind.
